I've long pondered the question...why, after healing Loly and Menoly (TWICE,) Orihime simply didn't try to heal Ulquiorra, even after he reached out to her.
It can't be something so simple as "Ulquiorra was too goddamn strong to survive that fight and Kubo had no where to put him in the Fullbringer Arc." That just seems like bad storytelling. But I think I may have finally figured it out. (I was talking about this on my IchiHime thing before and it just suddenly clicked.)
An important thing to FIRST take into consideration is what Kubo himself considers The Heart to be in his story, because without an understanding of what the author is trying to do, analyzing the story itself becomes pointless.
